About Authors
At the moment we are two passionate fantasy lovers, and aspiring writers. The goal with this blog is to create a full fantasy world seen through the people who live in it. Now we write short stories of a few thousand words. As we mature in more experience writers or (level up our skills), and have filled in the world, we will begin writing novels, some standalone books and finally a couple of series.
If everythings goes well, we will have written 200 plus short stories, 100 plus novels, 6-8 standalone books and 2 trilogies within the next 5 years.
It is our grandest wish for this blog to expand and give us the opportunity to live and earn by writing awesome stories.
About Christopher
Until a couple of years ago, I would never have seen myself as an author and now it is one of my biggest dreams to one day hopefully soon call myself a published author. But how did that happen? I was never a big reader as a kid, probably because I am dyslexic. But I liked movies, tv series and other forms of storytelling. In my teens and early 20s, I preferred movies and tv series over novels. But as I got older, I found the movies too shallow and tv series without much plot. Then I found podcasts and audio books, leading me to find the works of Joe Abercrombie, Brandon Sanderson and Drew Hayes (to name a few of the favorites). If you have not read any of their works, please allow me to suggest you do.
I first became interested in the idea of authorship, when I was looking for more books like the ones written by Joe Abercrombie. When I could not (at the time) find any, I thought to myself, "someone" should really write the stories I would like to read and started to look for someone to write the stories for me. Then when I was unable to find anyone to write the stories the way I wanted them written, I decided I would have to do it myself and here we are.
Much the same way, I started my storytelling journey about two years ago, when I decided to DM my first group of players. Because I was unable to find any good DMs (there are plenty of good DMs out there, I’m just picky). I have been a player for 7 years and love the game a lot. I fell in love with DMing, it is simply the greatest joy to see your player experience a plot twist or them having a character moment. This enjoyment was what made me start thinking in terms of which other ways I could tell stories and writing them down seems to be the right way to start.
I enjoy DMing so much that at the end of this year, I will go pro (as they say in sport) and become a Professional Dungeon Master, beside this I have plans to create series of campaign modules that can be molded to fit into any campaign, but if played in succession will bring the players through an epic Campaign, taking them from level 1 to 10. I will let you know when it is time for play testing.
I created Vastinia 2 years ago as the home world for my DND campaigns and now it is also the common point for all of the stories you have been reading or are about to read. You can read more about the word under Introduction to Vastinia.
I am a storyteller, Business innovative thinker and I love creating cooperative projects, that's how this project came about. Now I want to add to the world of Fiction with my own stories and legends. Over time, this blog will be filled with stories, some mine, some Victors and hopefully other writers’ as this blog will grow. so I hope you enjoy the stories you read and want to follow along as we build this fantasy world together.
About Viktor
I first thought about writing as a career during my years at university. For a while, I even considered switching my major from Linguistics to Journalism. There is something magical about moving people with words and I decided back then that I wanted to do that in some capacity. I didn’t know what, but I knew I was going to write someday.
In the years since I’ve done a number of writing gigs in different industries. From website copy to SEO content writing, editing and blogging. Most recently, I started a project on Medium, where I’ve been posting consistently for the past year. But I’d never considered writing fiction. That is until I joined Chris’ DnD campaign.
It only took a few sessions for me to get immersed in Vastina. Through his storytelling, Chris creates a complex world of political turmoil, mysterious places, and compelling characters. I eagerly anticipated each session, wanting to discover more of Vastina’s secrets.
Several months later, after another thrilling session, Chris revealed his plans to start writing stories about Vastina. Since I’d already been writing online for a while, I decided to share some of my insights. I showed him my Medium profile and some of my content. A week later, he invited me to come on board for this project. It was an opportunity to combine two great passions - writing and fantasy. At the same time, I knew I had a lot to learn. I knew that writing fiction was going to be a challenge, but I couldn’t say no.
Having written my first few drafts, I know I’ve made the right decision. I’m having so much fun coming up with stories for these wonderful characters. Over time, I hope to add more to the tapestry of Vastina.
Join me and Chris on this journey of discovery!
